Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation receives grant from Investors Foundation to help people with severe mental illness access routine and specialty medical care.
Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation recently received the first payment of a $10,000 grant from Investors Foundation. The grant will help further Hunterdon Medical Center’s Behavioral Health program by providing intensive care management for people with severe mental illness to ensure they have the support they need to obtain quality routine and specialty medical care.
“We are honored to receive this grant award which will be vital for improving the health of a population that often suffers from conditions like obesity, diabetes, and hypertension but needs additional support to see primary or specialty care doctors” said Phil Beekman, Senior Vice President, Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation.
